Cowrie shells have been carried across West Africa for centuries β as currency, as protection, as a sign that a woman knows who she is. These earrings bring that history forward.
Handcrafted in Ghana, each pair features seven cowrie shells strung along a brass teardrop frame with hand-coiled wire wrapping at the base. Minor variations in shell size and wire tension are the mark of the hands that made them.
Lightweight. Statement-making. Rooted in something real.
Brass teardrop frame. Natural cowrie shells. Hook closure. Approximately 3 inches in length.
